About Us

The Stella Maris Rowing Club is the most decorated Rowing Club of the East Coast. Founded in the 1930s, Stella Maris Rowing Club is one of Dublin’s oldest and most respected rowing clubs. With a rich history, the Ringsend outfit continues to nurture young rowers, promote fitness and build lasting bonds within the community. All levels of experience are catered for, from Junior right up to Senior level.

Our East Coast Skiff racing season runs from April to September. The majority of this time is taken up participating in Regattas along the East Coast of Ireland from as far north as Skerries to the south of Arklow.

We also take part in other rowing events throughout the country, such as coastal scull and beach sprint events organised by Rowing Ireland and are affiliated through Rowing Ireland for this type of rowing.

Every September we host the annual “Hope Row”, which has raised almost €100k for various charities across the country.

Our rowers range from 10 years of age to the much older Vets we won’t put an age on! All levels of experience are welcome within our club. Our Junior section of 10-18 year olds to Adult Novice learners, Intermediate level, to those who have made their way to Junior and Senior level.

We have an extensive training programme available within our club with top of the range facilities in our clubhouse. As part of your membership you will have full access to our gym, kitted out with state of the art concept 2 rowers, exercise bikes, treadmill, weight lifting equipment and more.
